Her father was apparently a good guy. Her mother died of ovarian cancer far too early in life. In the spring of 1967, she was not making the grade as a Chi Omega pledge at Iowa State University. One of my Phi Delta Theta fraternity brothers suggested I take her out. I was a total virgin, but I’d been sexually violated as a boy scout by my scoutmaster. Somehow, I took the challenge and made the call. All of my writings are about her.
