Harry X. Winfield
Stephen E Lewis was born and raised in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Stephen E Lewis is Harry X. Winfield and also “Lewbuddy”. He played Little League baseball and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Steve was elected president of his high school class during his junior year and received the Pat Izzo Sportsmanship Award. He became one of the nation’s most outstanding water skiers. He attended Iowa State University where he was elected president of his Phi Delta Theta fraternity during his senior year, smoked some marijuana, and captained his fraternity’s intramural football team to the University Championship game three years in a row. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and was employed by The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for more than 5 years. Steve was key in the development of the radial tire in North America before resigning to return to his native home area in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
